EXSA 2010 Conference

EXSA 30 years and beyond 2010 … the next decade

to be held 21 February – 23 February
at Amanzingwe Lodge, Broederstroom, North  West Province

Just an hour from Sandton, set under thatch, this elegant African environment creates the perfect state of mind to facilitate pure concentration and absorption of the tasks at hand.

"Delegates will be given the bush experience within an hour or so from Sandton!" said Sue Gannon at the EXSA office. "The EXSA Board felt the need to get out of the city for a day or two to hear and discuss together some of the very important issues relating to the Exhibition and Event industry for 2010 going forward into the new decade. The theme for the Conference will be EXSA 30 Years On and Beyond 2010 … the next decade."

Delegates have the option of arriving either on Sunday 21 February and enjoying a game drive or walk with the elephants, or driving through first thing on Monday morning 22 February.

The EXSA Conference and AGM will take place on 22 February and amongst the important issues on the programme are:

- EXSA 30 years on ….
- New Labour Law – labour brokers, overtime, contract employees etc
- BEE Codes – latest information
- Safety & Health – disaster management and new event laws
- The Economy in 2010 – Future Business
- Greening – where to from here?
- Skills Development – industry regulations and potential rewards
- Marketing trends – technical trends – creating on-line business
- Fraud – how to avoid it happening to you!

On Monday evening there will be the EXSA Banquet with a guest speaker.

On Tuesday 23 February there is a workshop open to all EXSA members and also to non-members in the industry to discuss the way forward for EXSA and feed-back on the possible merger with SAACI.

The Conference will then close after lunch on Tuesday 23 February.

Amanzingwe Lodge is a 5-star Conference Venue and right next door there is the Glen Afric Game Reserve where they have the "Big 5". Delegates will have the option of various accommodation choices from a luxury suite, hotel/lodge room, or even a tented bedroom in the bush!

And good news for out-of-town delegates is the close proximity of Amanzingwe to Lanseria Airport – just 20 minutes drive. Kulula flies directly into Lanseria from both Cape Town and Durban.

For all enquiries relating to the EXSA Conference, please contact Sue Gannon at the EXSA office – 011 805 7272 or 082 891 9918.
