East Coast Radio House & Garden Show 2005 showcases lifestyle ideas
It’s that time of the year when people head for KZN's annual event of the year, the East Coast Radio House & Garden Show, for the latest in lifestyle ideas, as more than 350 exhibitors showcase the most up-to-date home and outdoor goods.
Taking centre-stage as the 2005 show’s icon is the ultimate and stylish Russell Hobbs toaster. It represents this year’s show theme of 'Popping Good'.
A novel competition in keeping with this theme has been sponsored by inviting talented visual artists via the artSPACE Durban Gallery, to create works of art with the must-have Russell Hobbs mega-toaster as a base.
Showgoers can vote for ‘Durban’s No. 1 Pop-Up’ Toaster Art when these artworks are exhibited at the show. East Coast Radio will auction the artworks and the proceeds will go towards the Winter Warmth Campaign.
Heading the line-up of major attractions this year is celebrity chef Jenny Morris, a.k.a. The Giggling Gourmet and author of Rude Food, Nude Food, Good Food. Jenny is one of SA’s best-loved food personalities. Jenny 'giggling gourmet' Morris will add sparkle and fun with her interactive cooking at the show’s Cook’s Playground.
East Coast Radio’s partnership with KZN’s successful House and Garden Show is in line with the station’s ongoing commitment to promote the East Coast. A specially built studio will be constructed at the show to provide on site coverage to 2.1 million listeners and the Buyer's Guide on the ECR website will promote the Show Specials.
More than 100 000 people visited this ten-day retail experience last year, and this year the show organisers are set to stage another exciting up-to-date lifestyle shopping show.
"The East Coast Radio House & Garden Show is Durban’s once-a-year retail opportunity for getting new ideas and making value-for-money purchases for your lifestyle,” says Show Director Diana Chandler of Kagiso Exhibitions. Catch the East Coast Radio House & Garden Show at the Durban Exhibition Centre from 1 to 10 July 2005.
