    EXSA Members shine at the Top 40 Women in MICE event

    In celebration of Women’s Month and in acknowledgement of the powerful role women play in moving the meetings and events industry forward the Meetings Magazine hosted the Top 40 women in MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) event in order to celebrate extraordinary women and their achievements in the industry. The Women who make it on the Top 40 Women of MICE lists are entrepreneurs, innovators and mentors that have achieved success through hard work, perseverance, learning, sacrifice and most of all love for what they do.

    EXSA is delighted to have celebrated with twelve EXSA members recognised at the gala luncheon last week. These women are showing the way forward and inspiring others.

    “Our industry is filled with phenomenal and innovative women who are doing amazing things, says EXSA’s General Manager, Phumulani Hlatshwayo. “An event like Women in MICE is important to acknowledge successful women and their driving force in the industry. We are thrilled to have so many EXSA members recognised for their hard work and professionalism. Congratulations to all the deserving winners,” adds Hlatshwayo.

    • Emaily Naidoo, Sales manager: New Business at the CSIR International Convention Centre
    • Liezle Bothma, Show director at Conker Exhibitions
    • Julie- May Ellingson, CEO of the Cape Town International Convention Centre
    • Karen Healey, Managing director of Resource Design and EXSA Western Cape Chair
    • Natalie Kensley, Research, marketing and sales manager for the Conference Company
    • Naume Moakamedi, Manager: Infrastructure Services at Scan Display
    • Nicolette Elia- Beissel, Operations director of Durban ICC
    • Zodwa Msimang, Managing member of Ikhono Communications
    • Zoe Broad, Committee member of Event Greening Forum (EGF)
    • Amanda Kotze-Nhlapo, Chief Convention Bureau Officer at South African National Convention Bureau was also given a special award as the first women inducted into the women in MICE hall of fame.
