FAW Coega Assembly Plant Launch 2014

    "NEW BEGINNINGS, NEW POTENTIAL"

The Exhibitionist recently had the honour and privilege to coordinate and assist FAW in launching their new assembly plant in Coega, Nelson Mandela Bay, South Africa.

This event marked the 20th anniversary of FAW's presence in South Africa, which is a testament to the ongoing business relationship between China and South Africa.

The Exhibitionist transformed the FAW Coega Assembly Plant into a classical event room which was enjoyed by some 400 guests from both South Africa and China alike. Guests were accommodated in the best hotels Port Elizabeth had to offer, whilst experiencing the VIP treatment that is synonymous with FAW and their vehicles.

Hosted by Jonathan Boynton-Lee, of Top Billing fame, this launch was nothing short of spectacular with media coverage from around the country, and attendance by a number of Government ministers.

His Excellency, President Jacob Zuma was in attendance as he commended the Chinese motor company for their outstanding partnership with our country in the development of both business and job creation. President Zuma further cited the importance this factory will play in the South African economy through a partnership with a fellow BRICS nation.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, guests were invited to leave a permanent mark of their attendance by signing a fabric print which will be displayed at the FAW Coega Assembly Plant as a reminder of this landmark event.

The Exhibitionist worked tirelessly to provide only the best for our Chinese clients, while incorporating both South African and Chinese traditions and trends. Dance performances and a choir of Eastern Cape children, organised by our dedicated team, added to the atmosphere of the event whilst further cementing the bond between China and South Africa.

The big reveal saw a 14 ton truck driving across a specially engineered stage with dramatic lighting, lasers and smoke machines adding to the excitement. After the launch, guests were led to an exquisitely decorated marquee where they enjoyed an African-Asian inspired lunch.

We are beyond thrilled with the result of this event, and are excited that FAW China were bowled over by our hard work.

Thank you to all who had a hand in organising this important occasion - your professionalism and assistance was nothing short of overwhelming. We are proud to have been an integral part of this launch, and to have cemented our own strong relationship with FAW.

We look forward to working alongside FAW in the future.
