After months of full-scale exhibitor, organiser and supplier preparations, the National Automobile Manufacturers Association of SA (NAAMSA) released an official announcement on Monday morning, informing all involved parties that the much anticipated 2015 Johannesburg International Motor Show has been cancelled due to “increased costs that have called into question the return on investment for exhibitors”. The show is postponed to 2016 and a committee has been tasked with coming up with new proposals.
“What do we do now?” Is the question, under the given circumstances, believed to be dominant in the minds of automotive company Marketing leaders. We urge you to not panic. There are numerous ways to grab the attention of your target audience, generate leads, expose your brand, and stay top of mind. Brands could consider launching a national roadshow, covering all preferred major provinces in the country. They could also consider revamping and customising their permanent interiors to create greater appeal and convenience for their target audience, there is much to consider.
As a design and project management agency that specialises in exhibitions, sets and stages, permanent interiors, and roadshows and mall displays alike, we have, and continue to assist our Clients in developing and implementing targeted brand strategies that create platforms for effective face-to-face communication.
